EPC Carrillo Adds New Sizes to New Wave and Reserva Cabinet

A brand new line called Seleccion Oscuro will be unveiled at the IPCPR Convention, which is in its 83rd year and kicks off in New Orleans from July 17 to 21. EP Carrillo has also announced 4 new sizes for the New Wave Reserva and Cabinet cigar lines.

New Wave Reserva

All of the new sizes for the New Wave Reserva will come in 24-count boxes:

  • Corona Extra (5 1/2 x 44): $6.25
  • Elegantes (6 7/8 x 49): $7.75
  • Belicoso D’Oro (5 3/4 x 52): $7.50
  • Soberanos Real (7 1/4 x 54): $8.50

They’ve been rolled with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Connecticut broadleaf binder and filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Sounds promising, right?

Believe it or not, this series was actually released to the European market last fall — before coming to the US — and it was available in four sizes:

  • Robusto (5 x 50)
  • Toro (6 x 52)
  • Supremo (5 1/8 x 56)
  • Inmensos (6 x 60)

EP Carrillo LabelCabinet

The Cabinet EP Carrillo line will add three new sizes and all of them will be in dressed boxes of 25, except for the Petite Corona Gorda which will be released in a 50 count box

  • Double Corona (6 7/8 x 49): $7.35
  • Gran Duque (7 1/4 x 54): $8
  • Petit Corona Gorda (4 1/2 x 46): $5.25

The extensions to the New Wave Reserva and Cabinet lines are expected to reach retailers by August. So, that’s when you should be able to pick some up for your humidor.

Also, the company will be releasing the previously announced La Historia Regalias D’Celia, which will come in ten-count boxes and should be available by the end of July.

  • Torpedo (5 7/8 x 58): $9.50 ” Box Press”

What do you think? Any interest in picking some of these up or are you going to wait for some reviews to drop first?
