Foundation Cigar Company Is Releasing Their First Cigar: El Gueguense

imageFoundation Cigar Company, owned by Nicholas Melollo, will be releasing its first cigar, El Güegüense.

There will be five sizes when the lineup launches, and they’ll start shipping sometime in September. The sizes include:

  • Robusto (5 1/2 x 50)
  • Corona Gorda (5 5/8 x 46)
  • Toro (6 x 56)
  • Torpedo (6 1/4 x52)
  • Churchill (7 x 48)

All five sizes will be dressed in boxes of 25 with prices between $9-$13, depending on the size. This is an all Nicaraguan puro, so for the Nicaraguan fans out there, this is definitely one to check out!

El Güegüense is the main character of a Nicaraguan folk dance, which is performed once a year during the country’s San Sebastián festival. El Güegüense means the wise man from Aztec language. In the dance, El Güegüense plays tricks on the governor and the sheriff, and marries the governor’s daughter.

Sadly, these primo sticks won’t be marrying the governor’s daughter anytime soon. They might marry your lips though if you pick up a pack.
