In 2010, My Father Cigars blended the My Father limited edition. They were an individually-packaged, limited edition that used some pelo de oro leaf. After a year — or two — in hiatus, the My Father Limited Edition is back in 2015.
Casa de Montecristo previously announced that the My Father Limited Edition 2015 will have a launch event — which has already occurred. It stands at 6 1/2 x 52 and is a toro size. It uses an Ecuadorian Habano rosado wrapper over Corojo 2006 and Habano binders and Nicaraguan fillers. Like the My Father Limited Editions before it, this lineup of cigars will be packaged in boxes of 12 with each coming in an individual coffin just as My Father did with the first release.
The cigar boxes will be adorned with a “5th Anniversary” logo.
September marks the fifth anniversary of the release of the initial My Father Limited Edition, but this is actually only be the 4th. In 2013, the company didn’t release a “My Father Limited Edition,” but did release a Don Pepin Garcia which featured a different band and was sold in boxes of 14, rather than 12. However, the cigar was the same size — 6 1/2 x 52 — and came packed in coffins.
