The Adesso EasyTouch 1500 is a full-featured mechanical keyboard with RGB illuminated keys, VIA open-source support, wired, wireless and Bluetooth connectivity and, most of all, a dedicated Windows CoPilot hotkey.

There are a lot of people out there discovering the convenience of using AI to boost their workflow. And while there are more than a few options, from ChatGPT to Google’s Gemini, there’s no decrying the solution built into the latest versions of Windows, CoPilot. But we’ve yet to see a seamless way to call upon these tools. At least when it comes to modern keyboards. That’s because most mechanical devices were designed before AI popped up its wiley head. Adesso has addressed that problem with the EasyTouch 1500. It’s a wired, wireless, and Bluetooth-enabled mechanical keyboard with a dedicated CoPilot AI hotkey. That hotkey provides instant access to the AI assistant and tool with the simple press of a button.

Of course, if you know me and the products I usually cover, you can probably guess that’s not the only interesting feature the EasyTouch 1500 offers. Even without that dedicated AI key, it has intriguing functionality. Examples include Cherry MX red mechanical switches, VIA support for open-source programming and remapping, RGB LED backlit keys, USB Type-C charging and wired connectivity, hot swappable keys and a dedicated OS swapping hotkey with an instant switching function.

Why is the Adesso EasyTouch 1500 interesting?

With Bluetooth, wired USB, and wireless support, you decide how you want to connect your keyboard to your core system. That already gives you a lot of versatility, but when you factor in the other features included, well, let’s just say this is one ultimate keyboard. The dedicated CoPilot switch works like the Windows button on PCs, multi-media keys, or the globe key on Mac. They all engage dedicated functions with a single press.

The Cherry MX switches make the keys nice and snappy, or clicky, whichever you prefer to use, to describe mechanical keys that feel satisfying. But because they’re hot swappable, you can change out the key styles to what you want. You can also use the VIA open-source support to configure new key functions and layouts. You can also personalize shortcuts, backlight effects, and more. Speaking of backlighting, the keys are all illuminated by RGB LED, so in a dark dungeon or geek cave, you’re good to go.

A 4000mAh battery keeps this thing going for a long time, but USB Type-C charging and wired connectivity make it super simple, and compatible, with PCs, laptops, and beyond.

If you want to dual-boot Windows and Mac OS, or if you already do, the dedicated OS switching key makes swapping between them easy as pie. You press and hold the FN (function) key + M for three seconds and then it will swap the operating system. No manually restarting. No manually shutting down. Just a quick, simple swap.

But while that’s a lot of functionality packed into a mechanical keyboard, not everyone will have use for something this advanced. That’s okay. Adesso does offer some smaller, alternative mechanical keyboards with an AI hotkey, as well.

Who is it for?

If you use Windows CoPilot a bunch and want a quick, easy way to call upon its assistance thanks to a dedicated key, this Adesso keyboard is a good option. But it’s also a suitable full-featured mechanical keyboard for anyone interested in a productivity boost.
