Nyrius Orion Prime is a receiver and transmitter that allows you to wirelessly sync HDMI-to-HDMI, meaning you can stream devices like your laptop or PC to a remote TV without running cables.

Wires and cables are the original standard for connectivity. HDMI cables, video cables, USB cables, power cables, they are numerous if you’re into tech and they build up fast, even if you’re only connecting one or two devices, and that creates clutter. Monitors, desktops, laptops, consoles, TVs, wires, wires, wires, going everywhere. The Nyrius Orion Prime set allows you to ditch some of those cables, if they’re for 1080p HDMI output, anyway. It’s a wireless HDMI-to-HDMI transmitter and receiver system capable of streaming full HD 1080p signals up to 150 feet away. Connect any PC, laptop, cable or satellite box, console, or media player to a TV remotely and in minutes.

The Nyrius Orion Prime allows you to cut cable clutter, stream from device to device, and even add a second monitor or display in various configurations, like when you’re already using your laptop display, for example. Stream whatever you want from any HDMI source. Movies, TV shows, live sports, from one device to another. You don’t need the host device in the same room, either. It’s easy to imagine some cool scenarios there. You could set up a game in the living room that’s being streamed from a PC in your office or game room, for instance.

Plug and play, reliable streaming

Nyrius Orion Prime can transmit up to 50 feet away through walls, floors and ceilings. If there are no obstacles and there’s a clear line of sight, then it can transmit up to 150 feet away. In either case, that’s impressive and gives you a lot of wiggle room between devices. Imagine streaming your PC from your office all the way to your living room TV. Or your laptop to an outdoor display or projector for presentations or a backyard movie night. Auto-channel switching technology ensures the connection remains stable and reliable, eliminating interference that could hinder the picture quality. Even with other Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices transmitting in the vicinity, it should remain clear and unbothered.

While HDMI-to-HDMI is the more common option, you can also select a USB-C to HDMI version as well. That one would allow you to stream something like your Steam Deck to a TV wirelessly, for example. At $70, it’s a little more expensive than a 50-foot HDMI cable, but you won’t have that wire running all over the floor in your house, either.
