I can’t stop thinking about how our society is run by pedophiles, rapists, and murderers. Sure, there were whisperings and ramblings for years, but we have pretty close to verifiable proof through the Epstein files. And even if there is no physical evidence, the conversations in those emails, the subject matter and the context, it’s all vile, disgusting and inhumane. All of it. Don’t even get me started on pizza and jerky. Or, the hints at cannibalism and dark conversations about it with Hollywood A-listers. We all know that’s only the tip of the iceberg. There are so many files, photos and videos unreleased — and they probably never will be made public.
I’ve been struggling with this for a while. I’m not losing my mind. I’m not falling into conspiracy theories. This is truth. The language is confirmed. The context of these conversations, the pictures, it’s all taken from the files. Even if it’s not all true. Let’s say the “jerky” comments are in jest. It doesn’t matter, it’s still vile. Deplorable. The government knew. Agencies knew. Politicians are involved. Powerful people of the highest order were all doing this, all knew about this. We pay taxes to these fucking bastards. We’re enslaved by these evil, corrupt demons.
It’s unfortunate. No, unfathomable. And as a father of two beautiful babies my heart hurts immeasurably for everyone young that was subjected to these sick fucks. And I know, it’s not normally something you’d talk about on a tech site but this is where I’m really having some huge internal arguments. Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Gates, Trump, Cook, Brin, Thiel, Page, all of these guys are in some way complicit. The entire world of tech, modern capitalism, and consumer products is deeply engrained with what’s happening behind the scenes even if not indirectly.
What do we do from here?
Source: Joshua Oluwagbemiga / UnsplashWhat the actual fuck do we do here? I don’t want to support these people or their services any longer, but how can we do that collectively? I’m starting with social media. I refuse to use X/Twitter, especially with Grok and the child material allegations, I haven’t used Facebook for years, I’m going to swear off Instagram, TikTok and everything else as best as I can. I realize that’s a death knell considering what I do. But I don’t care. I have no interest in using these platforms any more and supporting the underworld.
I love modern technology and gadgets, devices, and all manner of technological advancements are a huge part of my daily life. It’s probably not possible to go cold turkey and stop the use of everything. I’m not even sure I’d want that. But I’m going to do what I can to avoid supporting these major organizations, especially the ones run by people talked about in the Epstein files. Will it be difficult? Probably. There are a lot of names in those files. But I also think, for me, it will be worth it.
Cutting back where I can
If I can distance myself from companies with ties to these people and conversations, I’m going to do it to the best of my ability. It’s also tough because affiliate marketing is tied to Amazon and similar platforms. That’s probably the one constant that I cannot sever from, even though I really wish I could. But in my daily life I will be cutting back support for Amazon as much as possible.
At work I write about what I’m assigned, but here, on Techigar, and on my site, I choose what to write about. I’m going to do what I can to avoid brands and products that don’t align with my ideals. I’m not asking anyone else to follow, though I hope you will also do what you can. It’s about time we take some of these people to task. This is not how the world should be.
Maybe I’ll get blowback for this. I’m sure I’ll get angry emails. But it’s not really worth staying quiet any longer. These people need to start seeing consequences.
