The Buzz Drone Moto-Style eBike has a motorcycle-inspired design with powerful underpinnings, thoughtful features and offers one hell of a smooth ride, no matter the terrain. Send it.
Accessible or not, this is no cheaply made e-bike. It features a top speed of 20 miles per hour, and a driving range of up to 40 miles per charge. The rear hub motor is 500 watts, offering 65Nm of torque, and powered by a 48 volt, 10.4 amp 500 watt hours battery — it charges in about four to six hours. Here’s where it truly stands out. You also get a Shimano TZ 14-28T cassette with six-speed trigger shifters, front and rear integrated lights, five pedal assist levels, and a center-mounted LCD to provide ride information. That LCD can show you current speeds, pedal assist levels, battery levels and a trip odometer. Even better, a front suspension system absorbs bumps and ensures a smooth ride on virtually any terrain. This beast is ready to rock and roll.
Why Buzz Bikes, and why the Drone Moto-Style eBike?
Power, speed, and affordability. The ratio between these three elements is remarkable, at least here. The Drone Moto-Style won’t drain your entire savings, but the trade-off for what you get is more than fair. No, actually, it’s beyond fair. Especially when you consider e-bikes are designed for street and urban riding. This one is ready to go anywhere, even off the trail.
The trigger throttle is easy to activate, placed right where your hand can engage and allows you to cruise up to 20 miles per hour without pedaling. Get a little boost up hills, assistance with heavier loads, or cruise and let the wind glide through your hair. Plus, the option to choose between five pedal assist modes means you can essentially customize how much support you get. Want to put in a little more work pedaling? You can do that. Want to cruise with no effort? You can do that, too.
Ultimately, though, I cannot get over those aesthetics. The Drone Moto-Style is a looker, that’s for sure. Now, excuse me while I go hit the trails. All of this e-bike talk has me wanting to take a little joy ride.
