The edge AI facial recognition processing, for the cats, is all done locally with on-device support. That means no cloud uploads, no data leaks, no creepy harvesting situations. There’s also a privacy indicator light on the bowl itself. The camera range reaches a conal area of about 9.8-inches.
As for the app, you can check in and control the device remotely. That puts you in full control of feeding schedules, managing feline profiles, and allows you to track intake history. You can see which cat ate and when. If you want to enable an all-pet mode, then any cat can eat from the bowl. The lid closes to keep the food fresh between visits. It’s the ideal solution for grazers when food theft isn’t a concern. But it also keeps out mutts. A built-in ice-pack slot can even keep the food fresh, wet. dry or mixed.
