The INIU Pocket Rocket P50 is the “world’s smallest” 10,000mAh fast-charging power pack, and it’s adorable as hell.
The trouble with portable power packs or travel adapters is you need a decent-sized battery to make them reliable. That’s especially true with today’s energy-hogging mobile devices. 5,000mAh is the bare minimum, but I like to start at 10,000mAh, because then you’ll at least get a few charges out of the deal. But like I said, the bigger the power pack, the bulkier the unit. Until now, anyway. INIU has launched the “world’s smallest” 10,000mAh 45-watt fast-charging power bank called the Pocket Rocket P50. What a name!
This star-studded little guy comes in six colors, like glacier blue, twilight purple, oasis mint, and, of course, all-black. It weighs a mere 160 grams, and it’s no bigger than two Macarons. That means it’s unbelievably light and small, especially in comparison to other 10K power banks. It has a real-time smart display, is airline-approved, offers simultaneous input and output, so it can charge up and charge other devices simultaneously, and comes with an integrated lanyard.
Why the INIU Pocket Rocket P50?
It’s small. It’s lightweight and travel-friendly, and it’s probably one of the cutest pieces of tech I’ve laid eyes on in a long while. But it’s also capable, and that’s a big, big standout in the world of mobile devices. It can charge the average smartphone to 73% in just 25 minutes thanks to the PD fast-charging tech. Moreover, it has 18 layers of safety protection to ensure power surges and other electric events won’t ruin anyone’s day.
Altogether, the whole unit is about as compact as an AirPods Pro wireless charging case. It even has an integrated USB-C cable, which is the lanyard. Yep, that’s right. The unique and ingenious design doubles as a cable and a lanyard. That way, if you forget your cords, you’re always ready to charge in a pinch. It has a single USB-A port and two USB-C, plus the USB-C cable integrated into the lanyard. You can charge up to three devices at once. The cable pulls out of the lanyard bit and plugs into the available USB-C port.
The craziest part might just be the price, though. MSRP, or full price, is $50, but select models — like the black variant — are discounted.
