The ZOUPW 450 watt bifacial solar panel is efficient, lightweight, and uses both sides of the panels to generate electricity. It can also deliver up to 85% of its efficiency even in shady conditions.
I’ve mentioned quite a few times, in a few places, that you can easily pick up a power station and solar panel and have a renewable power setup handy anytime. That will work great as a backup power solution during huge storms or outages, to extend power access where you normally wouldn’t get it, even remote locations, and much more. But while that’s framed as an easy get, realistically, there are a ton of solar panel and power station options out there. How do you mix and match properly? The ZOUPW variety answers that problem by offering universal compatibility with a lot of your common stations from companies like Anker, Bluetti, EcoFlow, Jackery, Oupes, UGREEN, and more. But the 450-watt portable panel featured here also takes things to a whole new level.
Normally, you’re looking at a 200 watt panel or so. This one, cranks things up to 450 watts with its maximum theoretical output. What’s different about it, though? For starters, it features a high-efficiency design with “A+ grade” N-type 16BB cells, which the company says are more efficient already. But the panel is also bifacial. That means it can generate electricity from both sides of the panel; the top from direct sunlight and the bottom via reflected light off the ground. It can also withstand much more extreme, hotter temperatures, operates at cooler temps under heavy loads, apparently, and is also ultra-lightweight.
What else does the ZOUPW 450 watt foldable panel offer?
The video shows the 480 watt model.
On top of being more efficient, which generates more power for your stations, it’s IP68 waterproof, so safe for use outdoors, and has four-zone anti-shading. The anti-shading circuit helps generate up to 85% of its normal output even in partial shade or abnormal conditions. I don’t have a panel and cannot verify those claims, but even if that’s not true, the higher efficiency alone is worth the rub here.
If you’re off-grid or spending time in extreme weather, the panel can handle up to 2400 pascals of max wind load, or up to 5400 pascals of max snow load. It’s tough, it’s high-powered, and it’s ultralight, portable, and foldable. It weighs about 20.9 pounds thanks to that lightweight construction. Moreover, to ensure it’s compatible with a wide variety of systems it comes with a four-in-one connector that fits common solar panel ports on power stations and solar stations.
Altogether, it solves a lot of problems you might run into with your average solar panel ordered off Amazon or retail sites. You know the compatibility is there and it appears to be way more efficient than most. I’d say that’s worth giving it a try.
