Available soon on Kickstarter, the Dockcase Smart USB-C Hub is a 7-in-1 connections hub that doubles as an M.2 SSD enclosure. It also has a built-in touchscreen. Pretty sweet!
While I don’t usually cover items that are featured on Kickstarter — because it’s a crowdfunding platform and there are never any guarantees — I am confident in this Dockcase campaign. Why? Because the brand has had 13 successful campaigns on the platform prior, delivering on all promises. This one shouldn’t be any different. It’s a 7-in-1 USB-C hub with some pretty advanced tech and connectivity baked in. For starters, it has a touchscreen on the top, supports 4K video at 120 frames-per-second, offers 100 watts of PD, and has an adjustable fan contained inside for cooling.
As for the SSD, or solid-state options, it can support a maximum of 2TB 2230/2242 SSD with full SSD health monitoring, visible on the screen, and support for a read-only mode.
