We’re coming up on some cooler weather, which means it’s the perfect time for barbecues and long-term smokes. As much as I love a good cigar, I’m talking about smoking meats, of course. Having owned an East Oak smoker for quite a while now, and I love it, I can attest to the usability and convenience of electric smokers like it. I use it all the time to smoke brisket, chicken, pork, and even sides like macaroni or mashed potatoes. But don’t worry, I’m not here to brag. I’m actually here to share that the East Oak 30-inch electric smoker is on sale for a limited time.

The smoker is down to $255 for a limited time, which is about 15% off the normal price — it’s usually $300. That’s not a bad deal at all for some delicious food. It features a side chip loader, where you put your wood, and up to 725 square feet of cooking space. You start the burner, set your temperature, wait a little while until it reaches that setpoint, and then you’re ready to go. Open it up, put in your meat or food, and then kick back and relax. Digital controls make it precise and easy to set up. A built-in meat probe allows you to check your meat periodically. I know I’ve said it before, but I absolutely love mine.

Why the East Oak 30-inch electric smoker?

I have a grill, a Blackstone actually, and I’m sure you have a grill, too, even if it’s a smaller one. This is not that. An electric smoker like the East Oak allows you to slow cook your meat and food, using wood chips. Whatever flavor or scent of wood chips you choose helps imbue a delicious smoky aroma and taste to the meat. And it’s virtually effortless. You prep the meat or food beforehand, set up the electric smoker and leave your food inside for the recommended cooking time(s).

It’s about as hassle-free as you can get. Plus, it’s easier to clean than your average grill and there’s plenty of room inside. When you’re done, you just wipe it all down with soap and warm water and you’re all good to go. Most of the parts, like the water basin and trays, are removable. So you can take those out and wash those separately, too.

Maximum temperature is 275 degrees Fahrenheit, with a timer that can stretch up to 12 hours. However, I’ve done 20+ hour cooks in my East Oak electric smoker. You just reset the timer when it counts down as needed. Moreover, since the wood chip tray is side-loaded, you can replace the chips mid-smoke without causing heat loss. You don’t have to open the front door to replace the chips. Altogether, it’s a very friendly set-it-and-forget it system. I’m over a year out from owning mine and I’ve had many, many successful smokes with lots of delicious meals.

Do not sleep on this deal if you don’t have a smoker yet. $255 is an excellent price.
