Who says you have to be big and bulky to be powerful? Or flashy to be stylish? I certainly don’t, but I’m sure someone out there does. At any rate, the Edifier ES20 Bluetooth speaker does away with all tropes like that. It’s a quaint, capable speaker with some excellent features like 6-Watts of RMS total power output, a high-capacity battery that lasts for up to 15 hours of continuous playback and Bluetooth version 5.4 with support for stereo pairing and multi-point connections. Of course, if you’re interested in audio — and why wouldn’t you be — the Φ43mm full-range driver with neodymium magnets and Φ55mm passive bass radiator are the real kickers. For those who aren’t into specs or numbers, most of that means this speaker will probably sound good — really good.

Clear treble, punchy bass you can feel, stereo pairing for surround audio with multiple speakers. Wow. You also get IP67 dustproof and waterproof protection, and compatibility with Edifier’s ConneX mobile app. But here’s something extra special, it also introduces ambient lighting effects. The back of the speaker projects RGB style lighting with five presets including breathing, rainbow, emergency lighting modes, and more. You can use the app to change settings or the intuitive physical controls built-into the top of the speaker.

Easy access physical buttons on the top with LED indicators for battery, input and mic use. A frequency response range of 93 to 19kHz. Meanwhile, the entire thing weighs just 326 grams. That’s a lot to take in.

The high-sensitivity MEMS microphone blocks out noise for intelligent cancellation, giving you clear calls to match your clear audio. Plus, the option to connect multiple speakers in stereo surround means you can have audio pumping from different directions — talk about a great pool party.
