Father’s Day is approaching fast, which means it’s time to pick out something special. Don’t just settle for any random tool, gadget or man-toy. Sure, there are a lot of Father’s Day gift ideas floating around and every website or blog has a list. If you’re as inundated with, well, stuff as I am, it’s time to consider something a little different. I don’t blame you if you want to pick out an item or two that’s more thoughtful, more heartwarming even. The Techigar Mother’s Day list was a big hit, so if I were a betting man, I’d guess this list will be too. While we have an awesome line-up of innovative tech blurbs you can browse, it’s so much easier if everything is calm, cool and collected — like Dad.

So, without further ado, here are some badass Father’s Day gift ideas that any humble, best-that-he-can-be dad, husband or patriarch would love to unwrap. These are not in any particular order, and certainly not in order of importance.

1. Kalun 21-piece Ultimate Grilling Set: Everything dad needs to level-up his grilling game

Dad with son grilling and Kaluns ultimate grilling set nearby

If you recognize this one, it’s because we covered the deal previously — it’s too good not to share again. In short, it’s a 21-piece grilling set that comes with all the utensils and gear dad needs to have a hell of a cookout, including an apron and a hard case to stow it all. Trust me, I wish I had a place to stow all my grilling equipment besides leaving it in a drawer or tossing it on a bottom grill rack. In the kit are high-quality stainless steel pieces. You get a tong, fork, knife, basting brush, grill brush with an extra head, a multi-function spatula and four skewers and eight corn holders. Plus, the cooking apron with four built-in pockets and the matching aluminum storage case. Normally, the entire set is $45, but for Father’s Day, it’s down to $30. If you do the math, that’s about $0.70 per piece. Not too shabby. There are three color options: black, brown and silver. Alternatively, you can grab the 32-piece, 40-piece, or essential sets, with varying prices.

2. Nicks Handmade Boots: High-quality leather boots that can keep up with the adventurous dad

It’s tough to find a solid, reliable pair of boots that can keep up with a hard day’s work. These days, manufacturers make everything cheaply. But not these boots. For over sixty years, this brand has been handcrafting USA-made footwear and accessories with genuine American-sourced leather. From The Robert Boot — with 20 leather styles and variations for versatility — to The Americana Boot, whatever you choose, Dads in good hands here. Or should I say good feet? No, maybe not, that’s a little weird. You could also spring for the Nicks Travel Bag for the worldly traveler, or the Classic Work Belt made from premium leather and solid brass hardware. Either way, dad’s gonna love it.

3. Tineco Floor One Stretch S6: A smart vacuum that can lay flat

Tineco Floor One Stretch S6 smart vacuum under furniture

I know, I know, your first thought is probably “a vacuum, really?” I hear you, but also hear me out. The Tineco Floor One Stretch S6 is a smart vacuum with iLoop smart sensor technology to auto adjust suction and water output based on the dirtiness of the floor. But here’s why I really love it and why I’m calling it out for Father’s Day of all times. I help my wife clean and I’m sure most Dads do. The vacuum makes all the difference when it comes to both the level of clean and the effort required. The Stretch S6, for example, lays flat to get under couches, furniture and more. As a middle-aged, and rapidly aging man, I make otherworldly noises when I have to bend or crouch down. This stops all that nonsense. You don’t have to bend, at least as much. Plus, it’s lightweight and cordless, and it handles both wet and dry messes. Trust me, it will make everyone happy.

4. Artet Flagship Apéritif: A non-alcoholic and versatile THC blend for cocktails or sipping

Artet Flagship Aperitif and mixed cocktails in glasses

So many Father’s Day gift ideas start with or revolve around alcohol. But maybe Dad wants to skip the scotch or whiskey this year? You can still surprise him with an excellent cocktail mixer, and more, thanks to Artet’s Flagship Apéritif. Artet’s tasteful commitment to changing how we experience cocktails is immediately apparent when you crack open the bottle. You’ll taste speakeasy-inspired notes like cardamom, juniper, grapefruit, gentian, chamomile, ginger, and allspice. Plus, it uses natural cane sugar to avoid that fake sugar crash. It contains a low dose (2.5mg) of THC to give you a well-balanced and enjoyable buzz, without overwhelming anyone and ruining the moment. No hangovers either! Dad can sip it as-is, or mix it — even following the recipe on the back of the bottle.

5. HOZO NeoRulerGo: A digital tape measure for DIY projects

HOZO NeoRulerGO digital measuring tape with mobile app support in use to pair via Bluetooth

Whenever my wife has a new project idea, or I need to hang some pictures, or I need to do pretty much any type of DIY project, the first tools I grab are my tape measure and a pencil. The HOZO NeoRulerGO is a digital tape measure that replaces both of those tools and makes the entire process so much more convenient. For example, you can transfer measurements you take, via Bluetooth, to the mobile app. That way you can reference them later and you’re never forgetting numbers, measurements, and info you need. But the NeoRuler is so much more than that. It can also take accurate measurements of virtually any surface, even curved. Plus, it’s pocket-sized so Dad can take it with him — and pull it out to show off — anywhere. This will take Dad’s measurements to the next level, and it will redefine all practical Father’s Day gift ideas

6. WOLFBOX MegaVolt24: A reliable and portable jump starter with a lifetime warranty

WOLFBOX MegaVolt24 portable jump starter in use while its raining

No one wants to deal with a dead vehicle battery. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a truck, car, off-road vehicle, or even something like a go-kart. No one wants to deal with jump starting a vehicle either, especially if that battery has been dead for a while. That’s why you should give Dad one of these babies. The WOLFBOX MegaVolt24 is a reliable, portable jump starter for every 10L/12V vehicle. Offering an unrivaled 4,000 amp peak power with PD 65 watt I/O fast-charging and a 24,000mAh capacity, it’s ready to get you going. Period. It’s a safe bet that dad’s expression when he opens one of these will be glorious.

7. TITAN by Arctic Zone 24-Can Backpack Cooler: Keep Dad’s drinks cold for up to two days

Titan by Arctic Zone 24 can beverage backpack cooler

Good, reliable coolers are hard to come by. If you want a rugged option, forget about it. At least, that used to be how I felt before I discovered the TITAN by Arctic Zone. It’s a 24-can capacity cooler that can keep ice for up to two days, anywhere. Talk about excellent Father’s Day gift ideas, am I right? It’s leak proof, with a thermally protective liner that’s also easy to clean when you’re back home. As a bonus, the front pocket is insulated, too. You gotta have some snacks. The padded backpack straps make it cozy to wear on a hike, while camping, or just for a long day out. If Dad loves a cold beverage or two, this is a fantastic gift.

8. Rabbit Air A3 SPA-1000N Air Purifier: A purifier that can help get rid of cigar smoke

Rabbit Air A3 mounted on the wall with man smoking cigar nearby

I smoke cigars, and I know there are at least a few other dads out there who do, too. But I always smoke outside in my little zen area, never in the house. Would I love to have a smoke room? Yes. To set one up, you need a solid air purifier to clean the smoke smells and the toxins. Enter the Rabbit Air A3. Now, this isn’t just for cleaning smoke. It also purifies the air and you can buy several filters for removing odors, helping with germ defense, allergies and asthma, and other contaminants like pet dander. Even if Dad’s not into smoking, the HEPA filtration means cleaner, fresher air in the home. This would be excellent in the living room, bedrooms, or even an office. Another great use for it is to rid animal smells, like cat box or litter smells and so on.

9. Drink Gems On the Rocks: Luxe drinkware adornments for gentlemen

Drink Gems on top of whiskey glass On the Rocks Gentlemen's Edition

This next item is a bit unorthodox when it comes to Father’s Day gift ideas, I admit it. But it’s also a nifty present for Dads who love to make a statement. On the Rocks Gentlemen’s Edition Drink Gems are, as the name suggests, luxe adornments for your favorite whiskey or wine glass. They work with any drinkware, really. They’re easy to attach, as well, thanks to magnets. You put the gem near the upper rim or top of the glass and attach the magnetic base behind it. There are eight different colors included in one pack, so you always have a variety to choose from. They’re also an excellent alternative to writing your name on the side of the glass when you’re at a party.

10. The Beard Hedger from MANSCAPED: A premium beard-sculpting tool

MANSCAPED The Beard Hedger father's day gift ideas -- with all accessories

Not every dad can grow a beard, or wants to, for that matter, and that’s okay. But for the dads who do beard, this tool is invaluable. It has a titanium-coated stainless steel T-blade, which just means it’s super sharp and precise. Plus, it features up to 60-minutes of runtime on a single charge, with a three-level LED charge indicator that tells you just how much time is left. Moreover, it’s waterproof, and comes with the AC adapter, USB-C cable, length-setting comb, and a travel bag. Yes, that travel bag lets you stow and go easily when you need a trimmer for vacation. And as someone who has a beard, and takes care of it, I can attest to needing something like this at all times. Dad will be grateful.

An excellent alternative is The Lawn Mower 5.0 Ultra ($110), which is a groin and body hair trimmer for all over.

11. East Oak Ridgewood Electric Smoker: A set it and forget it smoker for delicious cooks

Ridgewood East Oak 30 inch electric smoker with glass window and legs on back deck

I have hands-on experience with this one and I love it. It’s also excellent if you already have a grill. It’s a standalone electric smoker that really simplifies the entire smoking process, especially when you’re letting meat sear for ten plus hours. You can load your food, set the temperature, set the time and then walk away. Of course, you still want to check now and then to make sure the food is cooking. It’s accessible, and makes for one of the best Father’s Day gift ideas for the men who love to grill, cook, and smoke. I cooked a full brisket in mine and it came out perfectly done.

There are three models to choose from: The standard 30-inch smoker with no window for $230, a 30-inch smoker with a glass door for $300, and the Ridgewood 30-inch smoker with a glass window and bottom legs for $300 — I have the latter. If you want to save money, the windowless version would work exactly the same as the one I have.

12. The Cigador: A single-cigar humidor that exudes modern style and grace

Cigars need to be kept in a humidor. But not everyone wants a large or even desktop humidor stocked with a ton of stogies. Sometimes, you just want one or two to keep around on the backburner. Enter the ever-elegant Cigador, a single-cigar humidor. Tactical or Premium, whichever design you choose, they come with a hygrometer built-in. That allows you to keep an eye on the relative humidity (RH) to ensure your cigar is stored properly, just like your regular humidor. The cap accommodates either distilled water or a humidification pack, and the humidor holds up to 60 ring gauge cigars. Perhaps more impressive, the stylish design helps it stand out from anything else you might carry. The sleek Tactical versions have a textured composite wrapping. Meanwhile, the Premium editions come in African Blackwood, Cocobolo and more. If dad smokes a cigar every so often, he’ll love one of these.

13. ModRetro Chromatic: A Game boy-inspired retro handheld that plays physical cartridges like the days of yore

Chromatic in green from ModRetro playing a game

If dad played games in his youth, then chances are pretty high he’ll love something like this. ModRetro’s Chromatic is a Game Boy-inspired device that brings nostalgic experiences back from the dead and upgrades them a little. Now, the console is a big deal, yes. Chromatic comes in several colorways, and it’s designed to be like the handheld console you know and love. But where it really sets itself apart is a mixture of retro, relived classics and originals. These aren’t digital titles, they’re actual physical cartridges, just like back in the day.

It plays the old classics, including Game Boy and Game Boy Color cartridges. The new stuff and the re-releases are simply Chromatic cartridges in the same vein. The sunlight-readable backlit display makes it possible to play anywhere, plus it’s scratch-resistant. The magnesium alloy shell is durable and can take a beating. Finally, it takes custom lithium-ion rechargeable batteries — and they come with the console. It also supports USB-C lagless video out to PC, has a backwards compatible IR link, and link cable ports, and a 3.5mm headphone output. Gamer dads will feel right at home with one of these.

14. Viaim RecDot Professional Earbuds: AI-ready earbuds that show dad means business

VIAIM RecDot smart earbuds with wireless case product image

The VIAIM RecDot professional earbuds are super interesting. I’m also working on a review, but shh, don’t tell anyone. These earbuds have a remarkable list of features, so many we probably can’t fit them all here. For starters, they allow you to record calls and audio from your phone, record on-site meetings, and view translations as they’re transcribed — in real-time. They also have a built-in AI meeting assistant that can help you extract conversation summaries from lengthy recordings or keep your actionable items on schedule.

You’ll get nine hours of use on a single charge and up to 36 hours with the wireless charging case. Smart active noise cancelation allows you to hear what’s most important and reduces background noise. A Hi-Res audio certification tells you the audio quality is phenomenal. And you’ll always have clear face-to-face conversations, thanks to DNN noise reduction, and voice control support — the earbuds recognize smart voice commands with no wake-up required. And you get all of that for dad at the same price as a comparable pair of earbuds. Wow!

15. Hyperice Hypervolt Go 2: A portable massage gun to alleviate dad’s soreness

Hyperice Hypervolt Go 2 in use by man on the go -- for father's day gift ideas

Hyperice makes a wide variety of massage guns, some pro-grade and others more versatile, like the Hypervolt Go 2, which is totally designed to be used anywhere and everywhere. Massage guns, if you didn’t know, are excellent for muscle recovery after workouts, improving flexibility before workouts, stress reduction, injury prevention, and most importantly for dad, reduced soreness. If you’ve ever heard dad make some weird noises standing up, while crouching, or just existing, I’m certain he’d appreciate one of these. It’s TSA-approved as a carry-on so it can travel, plus the optional heating head attachment adds a portable hot stone of sorts. Even without heating, percussion massages are amazing.

16. Limitless Innovations JumpSmart: A 10-in-1 portable Swiss-Army knife of gadgetry

I know I already have a powerful jump starter on this list, and I still advocate for that as an excellent gift. Because this Limitless Innovations device is different. Yes, it’s a portable jump starter, but it also includes multiple devices packed into the chassis. It’s a jump starter with an 800 amp peak capable of starting most cars, trucks, SUVs, boats, motorcycles, lawn mowers, ATVs, and beyond. It can handle engines up to 8-cylinders (7.0 liters gas and 4.0 liters diesel). It’s also a high-powered flashlight — a lightweight 8 watt 330 Lumen LED light with four modes. Plus, it’s an 8,000mAh 4-cell portable power bank to charge your gear, and an excellent roadside emergency tool thanks to a compass, thermometer, reflector strip and audible alarm. It even comes with jumper cables. Dad can simply throw this bad boy into his trunk or glove box, keep it charged, and he’s always ready for anything.
