The GUNNAR Fallout Vault 33 gaming glasses are, as named, glasses to help you game for long hours without eye fatigue thanks to blue light blocking lenses. They’re also Fallout-official merchandise and include a matching metal collector’s case, microfiber cloth, and pouch.

Admittedly, it does seem a bit silly to bring up the concept of gamer glasses. Why would you wear glasses while playing games? Obviously, if you need prescription glasses that’s a different story. But realistically, GUNNAR’s gaming glasses include blue light blocking lenses to help prevent eye fatigue while you’re spending long hours in front of a bright monitor or TV. The company has patented G-Shield Plus lens technology, a coating, that’s both anti-reflective and smudge resistant. So, even if you’re eating Cheetos at your desk or having one of those microwavable burritos, the smudges should stay at a bare minimum.

The lenses also block not just blue light from screens — your smartphone also emits blue light by the way — but also 100% UV so you can wear them outside when you step out to get some fresh air. The frames are made of stainless steel and nylon, and in true Fallout fashion, they feature a futuristic square style. This particular model also comes with a blue matching Fallout case, a soft pouch, and a microfiber cleaning cloth. You can also choose between clear or amber lenses, the latter tinted a slight yellow. That’s if you opt for the blue light version. You can also choose a prescription or sunglasses option with polarized lenses.

What else is there to know about GUNNAR gaming glasses?

The Fallout x GUNNAR series of gaming glasses come in a few designs. There are Brotherhood of Steel versions, with clear or dark polarized lenses, the Fallout Lucky 38 series, also with clear and dark lenses, and an optional Fallout Vault 33 version with tinted lenses, as well. If Fallout isn’t your style, some of the other collaborations include The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, Borderlands, Guardians of the Galaxy, Overwatch, and even Assassin’s Creed.

Pretty cool. Though they all have different styles and designs, the basic concept is the same. They’re treated gaming glasses to help you deal with the bright lights of a monitor or display for long sessions. Prices and availability seem to vary, so keep that in mind. GUNNAR does tend to offer some great sales throughout the year.

Who is it for?

Vaulties, ghouls, and raiders that want to sport the Fallout fashion while playing some intense games. Or, you know, just unique sunglasses for anyone spending time outdoors.
