Update: Day two is here, which brings new deals and new prices on some of the stuff that was available already. Check it out.

Prime Big Deal Days, October Prime Day, Prime Day 2, whatever Amazon says you can call it or can’t call it, seriously, they send out emails telling you what’s okay to say and what’s not. Who cares? Consume, consume, consume that’s what they want you to do until your bank account is drained. While I’m not exactly down with that I do like tech and there’s no denying it’s a great time to get some good discounts on gear — sometimes they hike prices before discounting to make them look bigger, too. What do they say? If you can’t beat them, join them, or something like that.

Well, I’m not exactly joining anyone but I figure if you’re going to buy you might as well have some idea of what’s really a good deal and what’s not. I threw together a quick list of some gear I would buy, and might even have shopped already. Let’s dive in.
