One of the coolest devices I own is a pair of RayNeo Air 2s AR and XR glasses, but what are they, exactly? Why are they so cool? Allow me to paint a scenario for you. You and your family are sitting on the couch in the living room, spending some quiet time together. Everyone is doing their own thing, which is perfectly fine, so it’s not like you’re ignoring anyone. You’re playing some games on a Steam Deck, but you want to use a larger display. Unfortunately, the living room TV is occupied. So, you bust out your RayNeo glasses, plug them into your Steam Deck, and bam, you have a 120Hz 200-inch screen right in front of you. That is badass.

Even with that specific scenario, I’m not doing these glasses justice. They are a modern marvel. From watching movies on your phone — yes, you can connect them to your phone — to playing portable and handheld consoles on a huge screen, the RayNeo Air 2s change everything about modern entertainment. They even have built-in speakers that deliver immersive, surround audio. For a limited time, the RayNeo Air 2s are only $280, down from $400, which is a fantastic deal. Go check them out then we’ll talk some more.

Why would you want the RayNeo Air 2s glasses?

Basically, you can connect them to pretty much any USB-C-ready device, including Android, iOS (with an adapter), Nintendo Switch, Mac, PC, PS5, and Steam Deck or other handheld consoles. They give you an instant 200-inch display, at 120Hz, with 5,000 nits of brightness. Needless to say, that’s an impressive screen, especially when it’s so compact. It’s a micro OLED, so you already know the visuals are clean, crisp, and vibrant. It’s a superb experience all around.

But that still doesn’t explain why you might want a pair of these glasses? Imagine watching entertainment, like movies and shows, or playing your games, on a large screen, virtually anywhere. Poolside? Yep. At the beach. Yep. Hanging around outside in your backyard. Yep. When you’re forced to visit a friend of the family and don’t really want to go? Yep, you can use them there too. You can use them at work, although I might advise against it, on public transportation, on your lunch break, you name it. They get power from whatever device they’re plugged into, so there’s no need for a battery. You will have to be mindful of the device you’re using though.

A unique whisper mode ensures only you hear the audio, with superior noise cancellation to make sure ambient noise is blocked out, too. They are TÜV Rheinland certified for eye comfort, which means they shouldn’t strain your eyes. I’ve worn them comfortably for a long time, myself. And, at the risk of repeating myself, I love my pair and they’re one of the best and most unique devices I own.
