I’ve built a rapport with Limitless products at this point. Previously, I reviewed two other power banks from the brand, including a 10,000mAh fast-charger and an Elite 15,000mAh feature-rich version — the latter has a ton of extra stuff packed in there. I like their products a lot and, obviously, I’m coming from that place versus someone who may have never heard of their gear. I’ve honestly discovered and experienced more of the same with this latest power bank, which is why this review won’t be as long as some of the others.

It works as advertised, it’s super convenient, especially since it snaps to the back of your phone and it’s a reliable source of power when you need a battery boost. But in true Techigar fashion, let’s peel the magnetic sticker off the base and slap it to the back of our phones — that’s nerd speak for let’s get this review started.

What is the Limitless 10,000mAh MagSafe power bank?

The way that Limitless names its products means some may not sound unique if you don’t know what you’re looking for. If you just see the description about a “10,000mAh power bank” you’ll question if the one I’m reviewing now is any different than the one I reviewed before. The answer is yes, and no, but also yes.

They’re all power banks. So, technically, they all do the same things, with the exception of the power capacity. That number, 10,000mAh, denotes how big the battery inside the power bank is and how much or how little it can charge other devices. 10K isn’t that big, but it’s enough to charge most modern phones about two times.

The one I’m reviewing here is 10,000mAh or 38.5 watt-hours. It also incorporates a bunch of unique and useful charging features into a little body. For example, it has two built-in cables, a USB Type-C and a Lightning cable, both of which tuck away neatly and fold up into the side of the unit. It also has a lanyard which actually also functions as a USB Type-C to Micro cable. On the top are two fast-charging ports, USB-A and USB Type-C. Finally, it supports wireless charging at 15-watts, 7.5-watts and 5-watts. You can charge your phone, tablet, or any other devices using whatever method you prefer.

The power bank also comes with a cloth carrying bag and an extra USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable.

What’s the MagSafe functionality?

MagSafe is an Apple technology that employs magnetic connectors and gear to snap the various components together. In this case, the Limitless power bank will magnetically attach to the back of your MagSafe-ready iPhone. That allows you to keep it attached to the phone securely, while wirelessly charging your device. You can still use your phone, move around, and not worry about it falling off or whatever.

Now, if you don’t have an Apple iPhone with MagSafe, which I don’t because I have an Android, specifically a Samsung Galaxy, you can actually still use the magnetic feature. This Limitless power bank comes with a round magnetic ring and on the back is a sticky adhesive. You stick the ring to the back of your phone so it magnetically attaches to the power bank. It’s pretty easy to apply and works well — though do note you may have to take off your phone case if you’re using one. My phone was still able to charge wirelessly even through my case. Also, some phone cases support MagSafe even for Android.

Originally, the power bank was on sale for a special value through QVC. That deal might be gone now, but the current price is $65 which is pretty good, I think. If you look at most comparable power banks they’re around the same price. Anker has one for about $80 normally, while Baseus has one for about $70, at least when they’re not on sale. Sure, you could find cheaper but that’s not always the best idea with batteries and power banks. I digress.

The Limitless MagSafe bank comes in a variety of colors, including black, blue, green, mauve, red, silver, and taupe. As you can see from the pictures, Limitless sent me the red version and I’m happy as a pig in shit about it since red is my favorite color.

I did swap to this one for over a month as my default for charging everything except my Steam Deck.

It works well. It supports fast-charging — the Type-C port supports Power Delivery (PD). Plus, it has all the cords integrated so even if you forget to pack some in your bag you’re all set, making it perfect for travel. Meanwhile, the MagSafe functionality keeps it tucked securely against your iPhone, and if you don’t have a MagSafe phone you can use the magnetic ring. Now, I’m just repeating myself here but I think you get the gist of it. If you’re wondering, yes, it is TSA safe but it must go in your carry-on.

If I didn’t already have the 15,000mAh power bank from Limitless, which I adore, I would be using this one as my daily go-to.
