Ultrahuman Ring Pro is the next iteration of the company’s successful smart ring offering a host of new features including better battery life, a charging case, and more.
The Ring Pro looks to untether the smart device more than its predecessor. It promises 45 days of battery life and up to one full year of ring data storage with the case — plus 250 days on the actual ring. You can, of course, back it up and share it with a mobile app at any time. On-chip ML enables faster processing for advanced health tracking and insights. The unibody titanium ring is tough. The electronics rest on the inside like before. DC magnetic charging pins attach to the base to charge up the battery when it’s not in use. It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth Low Energy 5.3 to your devices like your phone. It certainly sounds like a capable, well-equipped ring.
What’s the big deal with a smart ring like the Ultrahuman Ring Pro?
A smart ring offers more precise and more consistent health tracking data because its on your finger at all times. Something like the Ultrahuman Ring Pro, with long-lasting battery life, and a quick-charge keeps you living your life instead of tethered to a charger in your bedroom. The ring lasts for up to 15 days on a single charge, plus the case extends that to 45 off-grid. The ring is water-resistant up to 100 meters or 328 feet.
The Ultrahuman Ring Pro also features ProRelease Technology so it can be safely removed (cut) in case your finger swells or there’s an injury. If you’ve ever worn a titanium or tungsten ring before you know the dangers there.
All the health insights are available in the Ultrahuman app. Sleep tracking, vitals information, access to what they call “powerplugs” or apps, and long-term health tracking including information about your true age related to your brain, pulse, and blood stats. Ultrahuman says there are no subscription fees to access the health data tracked and reported by the ring. That’s a huge plus, in my opinion.
As an aside, most smart rings seem to have issues with battery life which only becomes evident after many charging cycles, sometimes earlier. Hopefully, this new generation of smart rings fixes a lot of that. I just wanted to bring it to your attention.
