Typically, permanent outdoor lights come in a single strand and are designed for simple roof layouts. The Lepro EE1 permanent outdoor lights fix that flaw and make it easier to install the tech on complex roof designs or multi-story homes.

Permanent outdoor lights are a cool and pretty innovative way to change the sidewalk appeal of your home. But they have a major flaw as-is. Most are designed for simple rooflines without much complexity or altered sightlines. We’re talking long, ranch style homes with a single continuous roof. That makes installing permanent outdoor lights, especially in one long strand, on second or third-story homes and more complex roof arrangements with multiple sides difficult. Lepro’s new EE1 permanent outdoor lights do away with all of that. How?

They offer a dual-output controller with one power source and two independent runs. No extra hardware required. So, you can have two separate strands running in opposite directions to cover different rooflines without any added hardware or connections. If you want a single run you can have up to 300-feet, broken down into smaller strands, which is the longest stretch in a single package. They come in 50, 100, 200, and 300-foot strands. You can cover your home’s eaves, roofline, or soffit no matter the configuration.

What else can the EE1 permanent outdoor lights do?

The video is of the original Lepro E1 permanent outdoor lights. EE1 use a similar design.

One feature in particular that’s useful if you have the EE1 permanent outdoor lights installed across multi-story homes is that the strands have per-node addressable RGB. That offers a high degree of personalization and commercial-grade controls, with four directional flow modes to choose from. You can control the lights from the Lepro mobile app and access LightGPM 4.0. That’s an AI tool to generate lighting scenes from photos, voice prompts, and text. It also learns your habits over time and tailors lighting to you. You can tell it to create a Cyberpunk vibe, follow the color variations of the Aurora Borealis, or get festive with Christmas-themed colors and more.

The lights also support Bluetooth wireless connectivity with a range of up to 16-feet. If you rely on Wi-Fi instead, you can control them remotely from anywhere and even use Alexa. Google Assistant is also supported. Although, I would like to see support for Matter (it’s not here).

The 300-feet kit comes with 12 strings total, each broken down into 25 feet with 15 light nodes per. You also get four extension cables, two at 10-feet a piece, and two at five-feet a piece. One smart controller with two splitter cables, a waterproof (IP67) power adapter, 220-pieces of 3M adhesive tape, and 180 screws and anchors are bundled, as well. Basically, that’s everything you need to hang the entire lighting system. The smaller kits come with comparable supplies for their size.

Who is it for?

Homeowners that want to install permanent outdoor lights on a more complex or multi-story residence.
