What else can the SenseRobot Chess Mini do?
This video demonstrates the SenseRobot chess experience with the original system.
SenseRobot says the Chess Mini is “powered by advanced AI vision.” It can see what’s happening on the board and react accordingly. It boasts a 99% viewing accuracy with millimeter-level positioning. The robot can place every piece it interacts with using “surgical precision.” It doesn’t use facial recognition technology nor does it collect any data purportedly. “Your home remains a private sanctuary, just as it should be.”
Moreover, compared to the original system this one is designed to be lightweight and portable. That way, you can take it with you and play anywhere, from a coffee shop to the office and back home. You can even bring along during weekend camping trip to show your friends. It has an ELO 3200 strength, which means its intelligent enough to outsmart World Champions.
As for specs, it has dual-band Wi-Fi built-in, a 4.96-inch 1280 by 720 display, a built-in mic and camera, a USB Type-C connection for the chessboard, and it comes with a 12-volt 2-amp wall-plug power adapter. MSRP is $699, but during the Kickstarter campaign you can get early-bird pricing by pre-ordering. The first shipments are scheduled to go out to backers in July, 2026. It’s also worth noting the company has already successfully delivered comparable products in the original models. Users tend to speak highly of their chess robots.
